Singular Experiences, Hummer Builds A Bike
The Dallas Observer

While most of us have seen George W. drive around his ranch using an Excursion, we've wondered what George might ride around his ranch. If the mount of choice is a bike, he could do far worse than the recently launched HUMMER bicycle. Developed by Montague Bicycles in partnership with some suit at GM, the HUMMER Tactical Mountain Bike is based on a design originally developed for the U.S. Marines, making it just the thing for a ride over to the shores of Tripoli' or Crawford.

The HUMMER's unique design allows it to fold in half, making it just the thing if you're jumping out of a plane, stowing it in your vehicular HUMMER, or trying to find an easy place to store it within the confines of an apartment or office. When set up for riding, the HUMMER occupies the same footprint as a standard mountain bike; when folded, it fits into a 3'x3'x1' pack, making it far more portable than any conventional bicycle.

Having spotted it on the showroom of Classic Hummer in Grapevine, we can vouch for its gnarly good looks, along with a reasonable $695 price point. The Montague Corporation has been doing this folding-bike thing for a while; with proper setup, there's no reason you can't enjoy the benefits of a HUMMER bike for as long as George enjoys Crawford.
