It’s a bird ; it’s a plane; it’s a bike? If you’re running of space for your extreme-sports equipment, this folding bike might be the thing for you. Developed by Montague bike builders with Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency - the people who brought you the Internet – the Paratrooper was built to be the dirt bike tough and clamshell compact. Montague says the 24-speed bike can be folded into a 36-by-28-by-12-inch package in less than 30 seconds. The company says the Paratrooper was used by troops in Operation Enduring Freedom While you probably won’t be chasing terrorists in the desert, you should appreciate the bike’s Shimano drive train, 1.95-inch-wide knobby tires and 7005-series aluminum frame while you chase your friends around trails.
